August 2021
What does it cost to become an ORBA Member?
ORBA’s primary source of funding is through the generous support of its members and extraordinary partnerships. The membership structure has four levels and is on an annual basis:
- Platinum ($10,000)
- Gold ($5,000)
- Silver ($3,000)
- Bronze ($1,000)
Who are ORBA members?
ORBA is one of the few trade-based non-profit associations with membership comprised of a group of shared interests in motorized recreation and the off-road industry. ORBA members represent the full spectrum of the OHV world from trade and business to national organizations, grassroots clubs, and state/regional associations. Members range from Off-Road Warehouse, Daystar, Yamaha, 4-Wheel Parts, and Bestop, to custom off-road shops specializing in fabrication, graphics and design, suspension systems, LED lighting, clothing, and guiding. Organizations such as United Four Wheel Drive Association, California Association of Four Wheel Drive Clubs, Stay the Trail Colorado, District 37 AMA, SEMA, United Snowmobile Alliance, and the California Nevada Snowmobile Association. These are a few of the 400 members that are part of ORBA.
What will ORBA do for my business and organization?
More stringent rules and regulations have affected the off-road community with restrictions creating many challenges in keeping public lands open for motorized use. Trail/area closures, travel management limitations, legal mandates, and litigation tie up precious resources that many organizations and businesses do not have to address the issues first hand. These members are stakeholders in an industry /recreation activity that comprises of 2% of the national GDP and contributes over $60 Billion to the economy annually. Motorized recreation serves as a significant economic engine for the national economy as well as fuels local businesses in small communities that rely on motorized tourism. If motorized recreation ceased to exist because the anti-groups won every battle, ORBA members would be out of work and wouldn’t have a place to recreate. That’s where ORBA plays a crucial role in keeping access open and providing connections from businesses to grassroots creating an influential voice within the OHV community. ORBA works with federal agencies and lawmakers utilizing sound environmental principles and data instead of basing decisions on fear of potential litigation and emotion. ORBA works behind the scenes writing substantive comments for resource planning and environmental assessments on public lands, lobbies in Washington where our story is shared through economic impact studies and the ability to meet with critical bureaucrats in shaping policy and taking action.
It is ORBA’s continued vision to become the industry professional using a collaborative based approach connecting business to grassroots through a unified voice for OHV recreation.

Why Support ORBA?
ORBA is the only national nonprofit motorized off-road business association. There are other business trade associations, however ORBA focuses strictly on motorized off-road recreation. ORBA's board of directors and officers make decisions and take action based on keeping off-road related businesses operating and profitable. ORBA currently has the largest land use staff of any nonprofit OHV organization in the country. The staff at ORBA are not just land use specialists, they are off-road enthusiasts and riders themselves. ORBA has paid staff that deals professionally with legislators, government agencies, legal entities, and law enforcement agencies. ORBA does not rely on a volunteer workforce.
