Representatives from ORBA, the Off-Road Business Association, recently met with SEMA President Chris Kersting and Peter MacGillivray, SEMA's vice president of marketing and communications, to explore opportunities for the two organizations to work together.
ORBA is a non-profit association of business owners united to preserve the sport of off-roading and resist those organizations bent on protecting the environment "without regard for human recreational needs," according to ORBA's mission statement. Many ORBA members also belong to SEMA.
"Obviously there is much common ground between the two organizations, no pun intended," MacGillivray said. "We are currently looking for ways we can work together to achieve our common goals."
ORBA will have a booth at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and it will be a part of upcoming educational tracts about land-use issues, MacGillivray said.
