ORBA receives award from KTM at national dealers' convention
"Tireless efforts to preserve the sport of off-road recreation" recognized
SANTEE, CALIFORNIA (August 31, 2005) - KTM North America, Inc. held its annual dealer meeting this year in Columbus, Ohio - home of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum. KTM's Night of Champions dinner and award ceremony took place on the evening of Monday, August 22nd. Many big-name KTM riders were there to accept awards.
Also accepting an award on behalf of the Off-Road Business Association (ORBA) was Roy Denner, ORBA's President and CEO. Scot Harden, KTM VP, presented the award on behalf of KTM. Harden, a member of ORBA's Board of Directors, said "I am proud to be associated with the Off-Road Business Association and honored to serve on the Board. ORBA is working very hard on behalf of every KTM dealer, as well as for the entire off-road industry."
Denner pointed out to the audience of almost 800 Dealer Representatives and their wives that "the motorized off-highway recreation industry has never had a national trade association to protect its interests. ORBA is filling that role." He made a plea to the KTM Dealers present to team up with ORBA and support its important efforts. "The close working relationship between KTM and ORBA is natural since both companies are focused on off-road recreation" he added.
KTM is a major manufacturer of off-road motorcycles and ORBA is a national non-profit trade association whose members are companies that are involved with the off-road recreation industry.
