PRIMARY:
The basic reason for ORBA's existence is to build an organization strong enough to stand up to the unreasonably powerful environmental extremist organizations in this country that would eliminate all forms of Off-Highway Vehicle recreation in the name of protecting species. While ORBA is incorporated as a 501(c)(6) nonprofit mutual benefit corporation, its operation will always be driven by the need to keep its member companies profitable and successful.

LEGAL:
Litigation by enviro-extremist groups has been very successful and has led to the closure of millions of acres of public lands to vehicle access. ORBA has retained a very competent legal firm that specializes in environmental law. When other alternatives are exhausted, ORBA will pursue litigation to whatever level necessary to win the right to preserve and expand off-road recreation!

POLITICAL:
It has become clear to OHV Leaders that the political process is vital to the protection of OHV opportunities. Accordingly, ORBA will expand and maintain an association of off-road related businesses to have a significant impact on the political process. ORBA will support political policies favoring the protection of off-road recreation opportunities. ORBA lobbyists will stay abreast of political issues that may have a negative impact on the off-road recreation industry.

COOPERATIVE:
Strength in numbers will enable ORBA to consider programs that will benefit its members. As ORBA grows, various services will be offered to members at costs that are less than those charged individual businesses. For example, ORBA is currently investigating health insurance providers that might offer group rates to ORBA members.

ORBA already has promotional inserts in many trade publications that encourage OHV enthusiasts to purchase products from ORBA members. ORBA member businesses are listed on ORBA's web site and are encouraged to engage in business transactions with other ORBA members whenever possible.

ORBA member businesses are kept informed about political issues that may impact OHV recreation and are asked to participate, as a voting block, to respond to politicians and political issues related to OHV recreation and the OHV industry to ensure that the OHV recreation position is considered.

FINANCIAL:
Significant financial resources are needed to build a strong organization. Through a fair and reasonable system of membership dues, ORBA will establish and build a treasury to support efforts that promote and encourage off-road recreation. Additional fund raising programs may be instituted to enhance ORBA's financial position. Off-road volunteer organizations will be able to appeal to ORBA for funds or help to accomplish tasks that promote the recreational sport of off-roading.

SUMMARY:
ORBA is an association of off-road related business owners who believe that, unless the off-road community gets organized, off-road recreation opportunities nationwide will continue to be curtailed and eventually eliminated by environmental extremists who have, for a long time, been organized and well financed. Without question, the ultimate goal of the enviro-extremists is to close any and ALL open spaces to off-road recreation! Obviously, massive closures of open spaces to off-road recreation would bring huge economic losses to off-road related businesses. The primary goal of ORBA is to stop this from happening!
